Advocacy MOBILE advocates for people with disabilities, through working with legislators and a strong network of partnerships in the business and disability community.

Information & Referral

Information and referral services are provided to callers answering inquiries related to disability topics. Referrals are made to agencies, community organizations and, service providers.

Peer Support

Peer support activities include people coming together to share information, knowledge, and experiences. This one- on- one information sharing, and group interaction is designed to assist people with disabilities to develop mutual support, assistance, and understanding.

Living Skills Classes

These classes are designed to empower individuals with disabilities in order to make choices that will help to live independently in the community. Individualized training and group workshops provide the information, resources, and skills necessary to maintain an independent lifestyle.

Advocacy

Generating awareness, engaging in positive action and creating needed change laws and programs that affect people with disabilities and their families.

Transitioning

  • Transition services facilitate the transition of individuals with significant disabilities from nursing homes and other institutions to home and community-based residences.

  • Provides assistance to individuals who are at risk of entering institutions so that the individuals remain in the community.

  • Facilitates the transition of youth who are individuals eligible for Individualized Education Programs, and who completed their secondary education, or otherwise left school to postsecondary life.
